Door Supervisor / Security Guard Top Up Training

From October 2021, anyone renewing their SIA Security Guard or SIA Door Supervisor Licence will need to do a 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 Course, plus a Top Up Training Course.   The Security Guard Top Up  is a 1 day course, and the Door Supervisor Top Up is a 2 day course.   You can renew your licence up to 4 months before it expires, so please ensure you book your top up training in advance to guarantee a space on the course and time to renew your licence.  This course is set by the SIA and brings licence holders up to the new standards set in April 2021. Please remember the first aid is a prerequiste to all security training.   

Cardiff DS Top Up 

(2 day course 9 – 6.   £160 inc Vat) 

20th – 21st November 

Swansea DS Top Up 

(2 day course 9 – 6 .  £160 inc Vat) 

27th – 28th November 

22nd – 23rd January (last course before withdrawn by SIA ) 

Swansea SG Top Up 

(1 day course 9 – 5.  £120 inc Vat) 

2nd December 

                               **New Refresher Training** 

At the end of January 2024, the SIA are withdrawing the top up qualification assuming that most licence holders will have completed their top up training or the new course after April 21. 

There will then be a new refresher course available from October 2024 which will become mandatory from April 2025 for anyone renewing their licence.  This will be a first aid and security refresher course for all licence holders.  We will start running this course from February 2025.
