In summary – this qualification provides the knowledge of how to prepare for events, control entry and exit of customers, identify and deal with crowd problems and respond to emergencies. Subjects covered include preparation for spectator events, control of spectators at events, assessment of crowds and responses to potential crowd problems at spectator events and response to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies.

About this course – This qualification is ideal for anyone who wishes to work as, or learn how to become, a Safety Steward at events such as Sports stadiums/events, music festivals, concerts, parades and carnivals. Increasingly we have seen requests specifically for Stewards at Sporting events due to the fact that stewards are trained in this type of event management.

We train across South Wales – Narberth, Swansea, Bridgend, Cardiff, Newport, Chepstow, Cwmbran and Merthyr.
Whats involved?

There are 4 Units to complete as part of this course. These are:-

  • How stewards prepare for spectator events
  • How stewards control entry, exit and movement of spectators at events
  • How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential crowd problems at spectator events
  • How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning
